Nick at GT STATS have been working with Thanasi Kokkinakis and his team over the Australian 21/22 Summer. In that time, Thanasi has improved his ATP ranking from 171 to 103, won his first ATP Tour title at the Adelaide International, and won his first Grand Slam final at the Australian Open.
Only a small part of GT’s work with Thanasi is on upcoming opponents. The majority of what GT does for “Team Thanasi” is on match and tournament reviews, which help Thanasi’s coaching team target areas for practice prior to upcoming matches and tournaments.

- How GT is changing Thanasi’s view of stats and analytics from what is shown on TV to information relevant to his game.
- Why GT discusses rally length and patterns of play in reviews, rather than errors, winners and points won on 1st serve.
- How GT’s work with Thanasi can be related to Voyager players.

GT will be filming matches in week 6 and 7 of term 1 for academy players at SOP and at future Voyager events.
