Tennis develops a sense of discipline and resilience, qualities that extend beyond the court. The continuous challenge and sportsmanship within the tennis community make me passionate about the sport. What I love about Tennis?
I love being out there alone and having to figure out a way to beat your opponent. This is similar to boxing but even then they are able to speak to their coach after the round ends! Coming from a set down and winning the match is one of the best feelings for me especially if you weren’t playing your best. You can always try different tactics or tough it out mentally. The unique scoring system makes things very interesting. Making lifelong tennis friends from coaches to workmates, friends from tournaments and squads.

What I love about Tennis?
It is as much a brain game as it is a physical one, and as such both aspects always have room for improvement. The beauty of this is that you may not be the best ball striker, but that doesn’t mean you’re incapable of beating those who are physically ahead of you. There is always a tip or trick you can use regardless of your level!

It is amazing that tennis enhances one’s general fitness and athleticism. There are so many aspects to the game, which positively impacts all areas of health and wellbeing, whether it be cognitive, emotional, social or physical. I think it is a very versatile sport for all ages, therefore allowing individuals to continue one’s tennis journey through all stages of life.
