Spring School Holiday Tennis Camps Are Back

Spring school holidays mean two things for parents: the kids suddenly have plenty of free time, and that time needs filling.
If you’d rather see them on court than spending the break indoors, Voyager Tennis School Holiday Camps are back for spring. The camps give children a chance to play more tennis, work on their skills and spend the holidays with other young players.
Beginners are welcome, as are children who already play regularly. Voyager runs holiday tennis camps with qualified coaches for different playing levels, so children can take part at a level that suits their experience.
What Happens at a Voyager Holiday Camp?
A school holiday camp gives children much more court time than they would usually get from a weekly lesson. That extra time means coaches can work on skills while still leaving plenty of room for games and match play.
Depending on the program and player level, a day on court can include:
- Stroke and technique development
- Footwork and movement
- Rallying and point-based games
- Match play
- Activities with other players
- Coaching suited to the child’s level
Players are grouped appropriately so that beginners aren’t expected to keep pace with experienced juniors, while developing players still have opportunities to challenge themselves.
New to Tennis? Spring Is a Good Time to Start
A child doesn’t need to arrive with years of coaching behind them.
The school holidays give beginners time to become familiar with tennis without having to squeeze another activity into the school-week routine. They can learn how to hold the racquet, make contact with the ball and start rallying in a setting where other children are also there to learn.
For some children, a holiday camp may simply be a fun way to spend a few days. For others, it can be their first introduction to a sport they decide to keep playing once school returns. And the best part is, kids can try the free trial with no commitment.
Already Playing? Use the Break to Get More Court Time
For juniors who already attend tennis lessons, the holidays offer something different: consecutive days on court.
Instead of waiting a week between sessions, players have more opportunities to repeat what they’re learning and put those skills into points and matches. That can be particularly useful for children who want to maintain their tennis over the break or simply enjoy playing more often.
Voyager also offers Performance Tennis Camps for eligible developing and tournament players. Selective camps cater to Red, Orange and Green performance players, while UTR camps are available at selected locations for advanced tournament players with an active UTR.
A School Holiday Activity That Gets Kids Moving
School holidays can easily turn into long stretches of television, gaming and scrolling. A day at tennis camp changes the pace.
Children are outside, moving around the court and concentrating on something they can actively participate in. There’s also a social side to camp that is difficult to replicate at home. Players rally together, work through activities and meet children outside their usual school circle.
For parents, it provides a structured activity during the break. For children, it still feels like a holiday.
Choose the Camp That Suits Your Child
Not every child comes to a holiday camp for the same reason. Some are trying tennis for the first time. Others want extra practice, while more experienced juniors may be looking for stronger match-play opportunities.
Voyager offers different camp options depending on the location and player level. Current programs include general School Holiday Tennis Camps, alongside selected performance and UTR camp options. Availability and schedules vary by venue.
Parents can check the current schedule and choose the location and program that best fits their child.
Make Some Room for Tennis This Spring
Two weeks away from school doesn’t have to mean two weeks away from being active.
Whether your child wants to try tennis, spend more time playing a sport they already enjoy or sharpen their game before returning to regular coaching, the spring holidays are a good opportunity to get some extra time on court.
Spring School Holiday Tennis Camps are open for bookings at participating Voyager Tennis locations. Places can fill as the holidays approach, so families interested in attending should check their local camp schedule and secure the days that work best for them.
