South Australia, get ready! Voyager Tennis, Australia’s leading tennis and pickleball academy, is officially coming to Playford, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring world-class racquet sports to the heart of the community.
From July 2026, Voyager Tennis will take over management of the Playford Tennis Centre. This isn’t just a change in management, it’s a full-scale transformation of one of South Australia’s most iconic sporting venues into a premier racquet sports destination.
A World-Class Venue, Reimagined
The Playford Tennis Centre has long been regarded as one of the best tennis facilities in the country, and with Voyager at the helm and is their first home in South Australia, it’s about to get even better.
Through a joint financial investment between Voyager Tennis and the City of Playford, the centre has undergone a major upgrade to become one of the most complete racquet sports destinations in South Australia.
Here’s what you’ll find at the Playford Tennis Centre:
- 16 hard tennis courts: newly resurfaced and ready for everything from casual hits to international tournaments
- 8 dedicated pickleball courts: purpose-built for one of the fastest-growing sports in Australia
- Padel courts: 4 new padel courts to be installed post-launch, making the City of Playford one of the first Councils in South Australia to offer padel facilities
- Clubhouse and Pro Shop: a fully equipped pro shop stocked with racquets, strings, apparel, and accessories, plus a welcoming clubhouse to relax before and after your game
- Free parking: ample on-site parking at no cost, making it easy for families and groups to arrive stress-free
- Changerooms and bathrooms: clean, well-maintained amenities so you can get on court and freshen up without any fuss
- Court hire: flexible, easy-to-book court hire for individuals, families, school groups, corporate teams, and community organisations
