
Ryan Henry
Ryan won multiple Australian national singles and doubles titles as a junior and was a key member of Australian team that won the 16/U world junior championships held in Japan. By the age of 18, he had achieved rankings of World No. 1 in U/18 Doubles, World No. 16 in U/18 Singles, 271 in ATP Doubles and 424 in ATP Singles and competed in the Australian Open Mens Singles and Doubles main draw. Ryan retired early from the game at age 19 due to repetitive injuries and has since focused on developing a career as a tennis professional.

Ryan is responsible for the overall management and development of Voyager Tennis and is passionate about helping tennis thrive at all levels from grass roots right the way through to the professional level.

Job Description
Voyager is seeking a full-time Sports Development Officer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of participation and development programs across its operations.
The Company
Voyager operates multiple sport and recreation facilities across Australia and internationally, delivering structured programs to participants of all ages and abilities, from entry-level participation through to advanced development pathways.
The Position – Role & Responsibilities
The Sports Development Officer will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering structured participation in sports development programs across schools, community groups, and partner organisations
- Coordinating sports development program schedules, events, and competitions across multiple sites and large-scale participation programs.
- Maintaining accurate program records, attendance data, and reporting outcomes
- Supporting structured program delivery and participant development outcomes
- Liaising with schools, parents, coaches, and stakeholders to support and promote sports program delivery
- Assisting with the implementation of sports promotion, marketing, and participation growth initiatives across the community
- Supporting operational requirements across facilities and sports development programs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sports development programs through participation tracking, reporting, and ongoing program assessment to support continuous improvement and growth.
Hours / Remuneration
- Full-time position (38 hours per week)
- Salary: $76,515 + superannuation per annum
Skills & Experience (Minimum Requirements)
- Relevant qualification in Sport Development, Sport Management, Physical Education, or related field OR at least 2 years’ experience in sport development or program coordination roles delivering measurable participation outcomes.
- Experience in sport program delivery, coordination, or community sport development
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to manage schedules, stakeholders, and program logistics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
