I joined Voyager in January 2015 from a successful program in the UK, Voyager’s first overseas hire on a working holiday visa so some unknowns for both parties.
It was obvious straight away that our values & ambitions aligned, passionate about growing our sport & maximising player’s potential I knew this would be a long term career pathway for me so we quickly figured out sponsorship so I could become a permanent resident of Australia.
I quickly learned that running squads was very different from running a venue and managing a team of coaches. I always felt supported in the areas I felt I needed to develop to be successful in the role of a Head Tennis Professional.
After nearly 7 successful years at North Manly, Voyager offered me the opportunity to become Head of Performance Tennis in Singapore with their partners ActiveSG. After my first year here in SG with many lessons learnt about the tennis landscape here I have now been promoted to the Director of Tennis role for 2023 which I’m grateful for.
With all the constant up skilling & support from all of the Directors & fellow coaches on the ground from Voyager over the years, I feel well equipped & motivated to start this new role.
