Playing History
I started playing tennis aged six. Played local tournaments to age of 16. Then I played in Sanchez Casal in Barcelona for two years where I also began to coach. I returned to England where I coached at David Lloyd in Harrogate for 2 and a half years.
What you love about Tennis?
There are many reasons why I’ve always loved tennis. As a singles player I’ve enjoyed the aspect of 1v1 competitive situations. I’ve also made a lot of my closest friends playing tennis so I’ve enjoyed the social aspect of the game. Tennis always makes me smile no matter if I’ve had a good or a bad day!

Playing History
I have been playing tennis since the age of nine and have enjoyed a lifelong passion for the sport. During my playing career in New Zealand, I competed in First Grade tennis and represented at one of the highest levels of New Zealand tennis, competing in both the Caro Bowl and Ferrier Cup competitions.
My coaching journey began at the age of 15 as a junior coach, and I have now accumulated over 25 years of coaching experience. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of coaching at some of New Zealand’s most prestigious tennis clubs, working with players of all ages and abilities—from beginners taking their first steps on the court to advanced and competitive players.
I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where every player can build confidence, develop their skills, and foster a lifelong love of tennis. My goal is to help each player reach their full potential while ensuring they enjoy every step of their tennis journey.
What you love about Tennis?
What I love most about tennis is that there is always something new to learn. It is a sport that continually challenges you to improve your skills, think strategically, and grow both on and off the court. I enjoy the individuality of tennis, where every player develops their own unique style and approach to the game.
I also love the competitive nature of tennis. It’s a challenging sport that requires resilience, determination, and a strong work ethic, which is what has kept me motivated and striving to achieve throughout my life. These are the same qualities I enjoy passing on to my players, encouraging them to challenge themselves, embrace the learning process, and enjoy every step of their tennis journey.

Tennis is more than just a physical activity to me. It is a way of living. The drive, the passion, that musical sound of the ball hitting my racquet makes me so happy I cannot explain.
What our Voyagers say about us.
“As a parent of Olympian and World Professional boxing champion Jeff Horn, I understand the value of high level coaching.
I have been very impressed after recently signing my 6 and 12 year olds to Voyger Tennis at Chandler.
The level of coaching as well as the methods used are outstanding. I am seeing great progress in the children after just half a term.
I’m very grateful to coaches Tim and Ren for an extremely positive experience with Voyger tennis, and I wish them every success in building on the great foundation they are establishing at Chandler in Queensland.”

“Great tennis courts with very affordable prices. The facilities are great , but most of the time the courts are available, so it’s easy to get a game in. There are lights at night, and booking online is very convenient.
The new team running the place is also very nice and always willing to help with anything you need.
Really appreciate their support!”

“We have been incredibly impressed since enrolling our 16-year-old at Voyager Tennis in Chandler. The standard of coaching and the approach taken by the team are exceptional. A special thank you to coaches Tim and Ren for creating such a positive and encouraging environment. My daughter’s passion for tennis has grown even stronger, and her skills have improved dramatically. We are truly grateful for the experience.”
