The countdown is on for the 2026 Pickleball Cup Juniors – Sydney, and there’s still time for young players to join the action at Voyager Tennis Willoughby!

Taking place on Saturday, 7 November 2026, this is the first junior edition of the Pickleball Cup, giving young players the opportunity to experience tournament pickleball, enjoy some friendly competition and put their dinking skills to the test.

Whether your child has been practising their serves, working on their rallies or looking forward to playing against other juniors, this is their chance to take part.

With only a few places remaining, parents are encouraged to secure their child’s entry before registrations close.

Your Child’s Entry Includes a FREE Pickleball Cup Preparation Class!

One of the best parts of this year’s Junior Pickleball Cup is that every entry includes a FREE one-hour Pickleball Cup Preparation Class, valued at $33.

The class gives young players an opportunity to prepare for tournament day, practise their skills and become more familiar with what to expect during competition.

It’s particularly useful for children who haven’t experienced a pickleball tournament before.

Players can work on their dinking, practise match situations and build confidence before stepping onto the court for the Cup.

There are two preparation class dates available:

• Monday, 2 November 2026
• Thursday, 5 November 2026

* We will call each individual on their preferred dates of class prepation

The preparation class is included with tournament entry, so there’s no additional class fee.

Four Junior Doubles Events to Join

The 2026 Pickleball Cup Juniors – Sydney features four doubles events for young players.

The tournament will follow a round-robin format, giving participants the opportunity to play matches within their respective event.

For children who enjoy playing doubles, it’s a chance to practise communicating with a partner, choosing the right shots and handling the excitement of competitive rallies.

Here’s what parents need to know before tournament day.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to allow time for registration and preparation.

The approximate event duration is two hours, although matches will continue until winners have been decided.

Why Should Your Child Join the Junior Pickleball Cup?

For young players, participating in a tournament can be an exciting next step after learning the basics of pickleball.

During regular practice, children often become comfortable playing against familiar partners and opponents. A tournament introduces different playing styles, new situations and the challenge of making decisions during competitive rallies.

The round-robin format also gives juniors an opportunity to gain match experience while playing against other children in their division.

And with the free preparation class included, players have a chance to practise before the big day.

For parents, the event is an opportunity to support their child’s interest in pickleball and encourage them to enjoy competition, whatever the final scoreboard says.
